Contradata has renewed its Touch Panel PC family for industrial applications with the new product lines AFL3-ULT5, PPC-F-ULT5 and CV-P2100, based on the recent Intel Core i3-8145UE and Core i5-8365UE processors of the Whiskey Lake family that offer an excellent compromise between performance and energy consumption. These new processors offer significantly improved performance compared to the previous generation of Intel Skylake U processors. The Intel Core i3-8145UE processor is based on dual core architecture with a frequency up to 3.9 GHz while the Intel Core i5-8365UE processor is a quad core with a frequency up to 4.4 GHz and supporting Intel vPro feature set. This represents one of the great novelties of the Whiskey Lake platform which now offers quad core architectures starting from the Core-i5 variant. All processors have a 15W TDP and are perfect for integration into fanless devices.

Afolux AFL3-ULT: The Afolux Panel PC family fits perfectly in "light industrial" applications. The Afolux Panel PCs are based on a plastic case with projected capacitive touch screen and true-flat front panel, IP64 protected. They offer a balanced interface set for general purpose industrial applications which includes 3 Gigabit LAN ports, 4x USB 3.2 Gen2, 2x COM including one RS-232/422/485, WiFi and HDMI output to drive a second display. They integrate a 2.5" HDD/SSD bay and an M.2 socket with NVMe support for high performance storage. There are currently 3 models available with 3 display sizes: 15.6", 18.5 "and 21.5".
PPC-F-ULT5 series: The PPC-F family is characterized by touch panel PCs for classic industrial applications. PPC-F-ULT5 Panel PCs are based on a metal chassis with projected capacitive touch screen and aluminum true-flat front panel with IP65 protection, which makes them suitable for more demanding applications than those of Afolux panel PCs. The set of interfaces on board is quite rich and includes 3 Gigabit LAN ports, 4x USB 3.2 Gen2, 2x COM including one RS-232/422/485 and HDMI output to drive a second display. They provide a 2.5" HDD/SSD bay and two M.2 sockets, one with NVMe support for high performance storage. There are currently 6 models available with 6 display sizes: 15", 15.6", 17", 18.5", 21.5" and 24".
CV-P2100 Series: this family of Panel PCs is the ideal solution for particularly demanding industrial applications that require a highly customizable I/O set. The modular structure of these Panel PCs makes them perfect for the integration of functions and I/O through peripherals and additional modules. They are based on true-flat aluminum front panel with IP65 protection and are available both with resistive touch and projected capacitive touch. The basic set of interfaces on board is rich and includes 2 Gigabit LAN ports, 4x COM, 3x USB 3.2, 2x USB 2.0, 16 Digital I/O optically isolated and VGA and DisplayPort outputs to drive two additional monitors. They provide 2x 2.5" HDD/SSD slots with RAID 0/1 support. They are highly expandable thanks to 2x Mini PCIe sockets, 1x M.2 socket and 1x PCI or PCI Express slot. An extended range of modules also allows to implement many functions on request including additional LAN ports, PoE Power-over-Ethernet ports, serial, CAN bus, Digital I/O, power ignition and many other functions.
